I found CFIU when I was looking for a Tile class to round out my hard-surface inspection offerings. Their training module for Tile was so informative and well put together that I was hooked and signed up for their whole Hard Surface course.
As a working inspector and mother, I very much appreciated the self-paced study course … and I learned lots of new tricks and tools to bring into the field with me. I also found explanations for some new construction issues that I’d often observed but not fully understood.
I cannot overstate the value of this course! The self-study modules are well-designed thorough and clearly written specifically for the purpose of becoming competent – and confident – inspectors. And the two-day class that wrapped it all up was a great way to bring it all to life, get a chance to ask questions and learn about real-life challenges.
Best of all, having the ongoing resource of the training and mentor teams to review reports and consult with is a brilliantly refreshing resource. The inspection ‘gig’ can feel like a pretty isolated profession at times, and it’s really nice to know that there’s a whole team that I can reach out to, just a phone call away.
