CAREER HISTORY |
| Floor covering inspections: Carpet, Carpet Tile, VCT, Sheet Vinyl (residential/commercial), Ceramic tile, LVP /LVT, laminate, and Wood. Moisture related substrate issues. My floorcovering career started in 1970 in Burlington, Iowa. working for a large floorcovering retailer –commercial workroom. Served a 4 ½ year union apprenticeship installing all type of floorcovering. I owned and operated a full line floorcovering workroom employing up to 10 installers. (1975-1998) Worked for a floorcovering adhesive manufacturer (Advance Adhesives) based in Dalton, GA. as their Regional Technical Service Rep. covering the entire US. (1998 -2004) Worked for a full line floorcovering wholesaler based in MN. (McKee) as one of their salesmen calling on floorcovering retailers covering the Western part of Illinois. (2004-2006) I worked for a large global manufacturer (MAPEI) from (2006-2019) as a Regional Technical Service Rep.covering 7- 14 states in the Midwest. While employed for MAPEI l was either the MTI instructor or assisted in their MTI. Programs (TSIS. FCIS. CRS. Ultracare and Wood finishes). I also help launch the MAPEI GPT training program and was the designated thin tile (GPT) instructor for the Midwest. I also did AIA presentations luncheons for MAPEI. My other duties included, claim inspections, write and filed claim inspection reports, do on-site PK training, conducted installers seminars after hours, pre-job site meetings with large construction contractors and installers, supervised installers on-site who were applying MAPEI products. Assisted in or conducted live PK shows at the trade shows like Surfaces and Coverings.
